Last Friday I won an iPad 2. Yeh, like Oh M gee. Had to make up a band character of the Albert Heijn - also known as Appie - products. The band character/product had to have a music vibe in it, for example: POPcorn, DRUMsticks and so on. I came up with a Dutch joke. It's green and it spins records? Guess who? Dj Pesto. (sounds like Dj Tiesto) well anyways, that's for all folks!

And that's what Upload Cinema is all about.

H&M is the King/Queen of collaborations. The Swedish Fashionblogger Elin Kling got the oppertunity to work together with H&M to create her own collection. And what a pity it's only available in Sweden.

Klings collection has nine pieces and two accessories lines. It's a minimalistic style combined with some bohomian. 10% of the collection earnings will go to Unicef.

Well done Kling, Well done h&m.

I would love to have the nude piece with the necklace at the back. Too bad I dont know anybody in Sweden. So perhaps I should try Ebay the third of February.

This idea is just amazing. Sacha wanted to do something for his grand-mother so he decided to photograph her (not like he didn't do that before...) but in a way, she is an amazing super hero. Mary Katrantzou haar werk is alles behalve gewoon. Met haar uitgesproken kleurrijke prints zet ze een stempel op elke
collectie. Kenmerkend voor haar collecties zijn de redelijk simpele silhouetten met gedigitaliseerde prints. Zo liet ze zich eerder inspireren door surrealistische werken van Magritte.

Voor haar Spring/Summer 2011 collectie heeft ze wederom alles uit de kast gehaald om die stempel eer aan te doen. Deze collectie is versierd met
gedigitaliseerde afbeeldingen van pagina’s uit vintage exemplaren van ‘Architectural Digest’ en ‘The World of Interiors’. Zo staan er op sommige jurken afbeeldingen van luxe hotel interieurs zoals balkons en zwembaden.

Katrantzou: “With this collection, I wanted to put the room on the woman, rather than the woman in the room.”

En dat is haar gelukt. Een inventieve ontwerpster die de lijn tusen kunst en mode doet vervagen.

De bekende fotograaf Scott Schuman, beter bekend als ‘The Satorialist’. Verruilde in 2005 de mode industrie voor zijn camera om te laten zien hoe designers hun inspiratie gewoon van straat plukken. Dat wij een grote inspiratie rol vervullen voor ontwerpers.

Schuman is inmiddels uitgegroeid als een van de meest invloedrijke mannen in de modewereld. Zijn foto’s inspireren talloze mensen over de hele wereld. En dat is niet gek want de streetstyle foto’s zijn
prachtig.

Vanzelfsprekend dan ook dat er een korte documentaire aan hem gewijd is. Hierin laat hij zien hoe hij te werk gaat. Hoe zijn oog wordt getrokken door bijvoorbeeld een paar work boots die vast geducktaped zijn. Maar ook door de schoonheid in mensen zelf, de abstractie die in bepaalde beelden terug te vinden zijn.

Eerder verscheen het boek
‘The Satorialist’ waarin al zijn favorieten gebundeld zijn. Een must-have voor iedere boekenkast.

I always told my friends I wanted to have vintage Cash Desk.

But it's not like you can buy that in stores.

I happend to came across this one at the flee market here in Amsterdam.

I was doubting at the time because the guy asked quite a lot for it.

However it works, all the levers work. And when I pull the big one, the trey opens!

Tadaaaaa. And it even makes a vintage old sound.

in this picture the old heavy cash desk with sum tulips that I got for breakfast off my boyfriend.
